Annual Meeting
IAHAIO hosts an Annual General Meeting (AGM) and a yearly symposium for its members which all members are welcome to attend. This provides an excellent opportunity to network with other members and find out about developments within the field of human-animal interactions. Organizations are invited to give presentations on their work. In recent years, the IAHAIO AGM has taken place online.
2023 Annual General Meeting
This year’s AGM was held on Saturday 4 November. Members of the IAHAIO Board gave an update on accomplishments during 2023 and plans for 2024, which can be found here: latest_agm_oct2023. New member organizations were also voted in.
2022 Annual General Meeting
This year’s AGM was held online on Saturday 5 November. The IAHAIO Board gave a presentation on activities over the past year and priorities for 2023-2025 which can be found here. New organization members and Board members were voted in.
2021 Annual General Meeting
This year’s AGM was held on Saturday 9 October. The IAHAIO Board gave a presentation on activities for 2020-2021 and an outline of plans for 2022 which can be found here.
2020 Annual General Meeting
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the 2020 AGM was held online via the Zoom platform. It took place on Saturday 12 September 2020 at 7pm London time.

2019 Annual General Meeting
The next Annual General Meeting for IAHAIO members took place on Friday 12 April 2019, 9.45am – 12.15pm at Sam and Myra Ross Institute at Green Chimneys, Brewster, New York. The Minutes of the 2019 AGM are available.
2018 Annual General Meeting
The most recent Annual Meeting for IAHAIO members took place on Wednesday 24 October, 1.30pm-5.00pm at the Friendship Sport Center, Amsterdam. The 2018 Agenda and Minutes of 2017 AGM are available.
2017 Annual General Meeting
The most recent Annual General Meeting took place on 23 June 2017 at the University of California, Davis, California. IAHAIO also hosted a dedicated IAHAIO stream on ‘AAI Best Practice across the globe – what have we learned so far and where do we need to be? Minutes and updates following the 2017 AGM will be made available shortly for IAHAIO members.
