Francesc Ristol is the director of the CTAC Group. Through different organizations they develop programs for Assisted Interventions with Dogs, Training of assistance dogs and training programs for professionals in the area of Assisted Interventions with Animals. He is a teacher teacher in different Animal Assisted Interventions courses at CECTAC in Spain and Latin America.
He is an assistance dog instructor certified by the Generalitat de Catalunya (Spain). He collaborates as a teacher in different academic courses at different universities with the subject of Animal Assisted Interventions.
He has participated in different investigations and studies of the benefits of Animal Assisted Interventions in various areas, such as Autism, Fetal Alcohol Syndrome, Benefits for health professionals of the application of dog assisted interventions, benefits of IAP in penitentiary areas, application of the IAP in positive mental health..etc.
He is co-author of the books:
- Animal Assisted Therapy: Techniques and Exercises for Dog Assisted Interventions.

He has 22 years experience in the world of animal training, animal welfare and the application of animal-assisted interventions to different populations.
He is co-author of the CTAC method applied to hospital areas and is co-director of CTAC hospital programs in hospitals such as: Hospital Sant Joan de Déu de Barcelona, Hospital Valld’Hebron de Barcelona, Hospital Clínic de Barcelona, Hospital Sant Pau – Santa Creu de Barcelona, Children hospital of Pachuca (Mexico) and Pediatric Hospital of Coyoacan of Mexico City.
